Birding in the intervals of diving
Having stayed in Lembeh Island for diving, I spotted several birds. I explored just a very limited part of the island or around my cottage only indeed. However such the variety of endemic species of Sulawesi are observed. Incredible.
Especially an encounter to Great-billed kingfisher is impressive one for me. It comes in early morning on the beach and dive into the sea to catch the fishes. That way is very dynamic since it has a relatively bigger body size, which is almost same as Stoke-billed Kingfisher.
ダイビングの合間に観察できた野鳥たち。セレベスと冠する和名を持つ固有種がレンベ島の属するスラウェシ島一帯に多数おります。滞在した宿のコテージ周辺という、ごく狭い範囲の探索でしたが、いくつかを確認することができました。
